These are a Vintage pair of Derby Blue John earring. They have been cleaned and polished and furnished with brand new sterling silver ear-wires. The last photo shows them before this work.
Blue John
Blue John is a rare, banded variety of calcium fluorite found exclusively in the Blue John Caven and Treak Cliff Cavern in Castleton, Derbyshire, England. Said to bring about calmness and intuition . It’s thought that if you sleep with a Blue John under your pillow at night, it will grant you peace and spiritual insight.
SILVER: Silver is said to have powerful antimicrobial properties, fighting infection, aiding cold and flu prevention, wound healing and more. It can also help with heat regulation and circulation.
SIZING
This gorgeous earrings have a 37mm drop and the blue John pendants are 17mm wide by 25mm long.
