Kinusaiga Art - Textile Collage - Bitsy’s
Sunday 25th October 2026, 1-3.30pm
In this workshop you will learn the Japanese handicraft of Kinusaiga. This is a type of textile collaging made by pressing fabric pieces into a foam board. It's a unique textile art that resembles stained glass. No sewing or previous craft experience necessary. A few designs will be available to choose from or feel free to create your own.
Your finished Kinusaiga will measure 15cm x 15cm x 2cm
All materials will be provided. The workshop is 2.5 hour, it should be possible complete this project in that time. It may take you more or less time as I understand people work at different speeds. I want it to be a relaxing experience so don’t rush to finish. I am always happy to provide a little fabric and ribbon for you to complete it at home.
The venue is Bitsy Emporium of Awesome, Cafe and Bakeshop, which will be open for food and drink 11am-4pm. The Old Mill, 4 North Mills, Leicester, LE3 5DL
There is free parking.
Please note this workshop will be on their Mezzanine level and there is not a lift.
